  • Feedback: Ratings or comments you provide about matches or the Service.
  • Personality Assessment: Responses to personality and compatibility questionnaires used for matching.
  • Phone Number: Required for account verification.

  • Usage Data: App activity, such as pages viewed, time spent, and features used.
  • Device Information: IP address, device type, operating system, and unique identifiers.
  • Location Data: Location information for location-based matching.
  • Analytics Data: App usage patterns and technical information.
  • Local Storage: Cached data stored on your device including profile information, chat messages, and images for offline access.

  • Ensure Safety: Monitor and moderate content to maintain a respectful environment and investigate reported issues.
  • Legal Compliance: Fulfill obligations under applicable laws or respond to legal requests, including compliance with PIPEDA and CCPA.
  • Automated Content Moderation: Scan uploaded images for explicit content and validate photo quality.

4. Automated Decision-Making

Our matching process may use automated systems including:

  • Personality-Based Matching: Our algorithm analyzes personality compatibility based on your profile information.
  • Geographic Proximity: Matches are filtered based on your location preferences and distance.
  • Physical Preferences: Your stated preferences are used to filter potential matches.
  • Match Optimization: Our system continuously improves match quality based on user interactions.

You may contact support with questions about our matching process. Our matching process does not produce legal or similarly significant effects beyond the dating service context.

5. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information to third parties for their commercial purposes. We may share your data in cases including but not limited to:

  • With Your Consent: To share specific details (e.g., your profile) with matches you choose to connect with.
  • Service Providers: With trusted third-party vendors who process data on our behalf under strict confidentiality agreements, including cloud infrastructure, identity verification, payment processing, and location services.
  • Legal Requirements: If required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Agappi Inc., our users, or the public.
  • Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, bankruptcy, or sale of all or substantially all of our assets, your information may be transferred to the successor entity. The successor entity will be bound by this Privacy Policy with respect to your information. Such transfers are not considered a sale of your personal information.

Under PIPEDA, you have rights regarding your personal information, including but not limited to:

7. Young Users (Aged 18-19)

Agappi is available to users aged 18 and older. For users under 19 (the age of majority in some Canadian provinces, like Ontario):

  • We do not knowingly collect data requiring parental consent beyond what's necessary for the Service.
  • If you're under 19, you affirm that your use of Agappi complies with applicable laws and that you have the capacity to consent to this policy.

13. Future Paid Features

If we introduce premium features, we may collect additional payment-related information (e.g., billing details) through third-party processors. This data will be used solely for transaction purposes and not shared beyond what's necessary.

We may update this Privacy Policy as our Service evolves. We will notify you of material changes via email or the App. Your continued use of Agappi after updates signifies your acceptance of the revised policy.

15. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including but not limited to:
